Event details

NHS Digital and the AAIP are hosting Future health: how can we assure the safety of AI in healthcare? on 5 July 2022, followed by a smaller workshop on 6 July. Both take place at the University of York.

The conference

We also have invited talks from NHS Digital, the University of York, HN, Kheiron Medical Technologies, CIEHF Digital Health & AI Special Interest Group, and others to bring you up-to-date with technology developments in healthcare, how their safety is being assured, and how ethics and governance is being considered.

The workshop

This practical workshop will offer some lecture time and some case study work based on a healthcare application. Workshop leaders are staff from NHS Digital, the AAIP, Human Factors Everywhere, and Kheiron Medical Technologies.

Health Information Engineering Workshop

This workshop is run by the University of Manchester. It aims to introduce participants to the modern software development process using the Agile software methodology which is now widely used for general project management in addition to software projects. Health Informatics - School of Computing (Newcastle University)

Learn key concepts of using digital technologies to benefit patients, with Health Informatics training for healthcare professionals. Sessions can be booked individually or as the whole course of 10. Each course is mapped to the relevant competencies in the FCI Clinical Informatics Core Competency Framework. Delegates attending these courses are expected to achieve these competencies and will receive a certificate confirming their training.
