Are you a clinician with experience in clinical coding, data analytics or computer science?

Outcomes Based Healthcare (OBH) is hiring a Clinical Informatics Lead to join our cross-functional team in London. Working closely with our partners in NHS England and other NHS organisations, we have created a segmentation model representing the health of the population which is used across the NHS to improve outcomes.

The Clinical Informatics Lead is a unique role created by OBH to bridge the skills between our clinical and analytics team. As Clinical Informatics Lead you will manage the development and translation of health and care data into our segmentation data model, by using your clinical knowledge to advise and support our analyst and technical teams. We are looking for an individual with a blend of experiences and are open to considering a range of backgrounds. As this is a new role, the successful candidate will be coached by OBH’s Chief Clinical Data Officer.

The role will involve:

  • leading the review and development of clinical definitions for use in our products, using the latest clinical evidence acquired through robust research

  • creation of plain-English clinical definitions and translation of these to which codes to include within our data model and OBH digital products and analyses

  • validation of data analysis outputs and support with testing using your clinical expertise

  • horizon scanning and staying up to date with the latest development and policy guidance around health data to advise and inform the wider team.
